Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G: At a time when the market is inundated with smartphones featuring glossy glass backs which after a while, all start to look the same, Oppo has done things a bit differently with the F27 Pro+ 5G and focused selectively on the build of the device for a change.
Don’t be mistaken — this phone is about more than just its looks and there’s quite a bit packed underneath that sturdy build that it boasts plus a design approach that’s a little different, thus being able to stand apart from the many in the mid-range price segment.
But is that enough to make it any different from the sea of competitors?
Here’s a closer look at what the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G has to offer and whether it’s worth your hard-earned money.
Rugged Yet Classy Design
For starters, the vegan leather back is the first thing you notice. It’s a nice break from ordinary glossy or matte plastic finishes.
Feeling original leather and a slipping power bank to boot along with a smudge resistant leather texture for an excellent grip.
But wait, there’s more — this phone is also India’s first to IP69-rated, in addition to IP68 and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability.
This one is built to withstand water splashes, dust, accidental drops and even some rough handling in the great outdoors. So whether you’re just clumsy or outdoorsy, this phone is very much not going to let go.
It’s also surprisingly slim and lightweight, even though its tough shell measures just 7.9mm thick and weighs in at around the 177g mark.
Display: Vibrant and Smooth
The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G comes with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and approximately 950 nits peak brightness.
It’s fast, color-rich and curiously engaging as a content-consumption device. The curved edge calls back to that modern flagship aesthetic and the bezels are razor-thin, ensuring a ‘screen-to-body’ that’s pretty immersive.
Whether you find yourself binging web series, swiping through reels or simply going about your day-to-day tasks, the screen won’t disappoint.
It also has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, so small scratches and drops shouldn’t be an issue.
Performance: Silky for Everything, Every Day
The F27 Pro+, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It’s not a flagship processor by any standard, but it suffices for day-to-day usage — web browsing, social media, multitasking and casual gaming, for example.
In most situations, you’ll experience no lag, however high end games on full settings may prove too much. On the software front, the phone is powered by ColorOS 14, which is built on Android 14, and it is feature-rich, and yet, smooth but there is some preloaded app you may want to uninstall.
Camera: Versatile, But Very Basic
On the back is a 64MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It’s a modest array, and the main sensor performs well in daylight — images are sharp with natural tones.
Low-light photography is acceptable, thanks in part to AI enhancement, but it doesn’t measure up to phones with a dedicated night sensor.
On the front you see an 8MP selfie camera, which is housed inside the punch-hole display. It is just fine for video calls and social media, but do not anticipate flagship-level detail or color depth.
Battery Life and Charging
The Oppo F27 Pro+ is fueled by a 5000mAh battery which gets you through a day with ease even with the kind of heavy usage.
On 5G, watching videos or playing games, the phone does well.
What really takes the cake is 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging — it can fill the phone from 0 to approximately 60 percent in under 30 minutes. And yes, the charger comes in the box.

Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G: Final thoughts: Lasts long, love is easy
The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G doesn’t attempt to be the most powerful phone around – and that’s good. It’s focused on providing a truly unique design/durability/practicality mix, which is not very common in its price range.
If you’re someone who prioritizes style, durability and a great display over raw performance or camera gimmicks, there may finally be a Note that’s just right for you.
It’s not suited to gamers or shutterbugs, however for the average user looking for a rugged daily driver with a bit of pizazz, the F27 Pro+ ticks many of the right boxes.
